Contrary to the beliefs of Suge Knight, Chuck D doesn't particularly agree with the loose usage of the word "ni**a" that is often blurted out in American society.  Chuck doesn't think that the term "African-American" is the best way to describe Black people in the United States, however he feels the constant use of the n-word is too much of a disrespect to the history that the word stems from.  He shared his thoughts on the n-word usage with TMZ.

"Being called Black in America is the struggle to keep us moving and breathing over bloody water. Being a Nig**r or [Ni**a] without the context of history is like drowning in bloody water, dragging down those yet knowing to swim."

He also believes that rappers who use the n-word "more than 3 times a song. It's lazy. Especially when out of context."

What are your thoughts on the n-word?
