Beyonce's self-titled album, which dropped unannounced on iTunes last Friday to the surprise and delight of millions of fans around the world, sold more than 828,000 copies over the weekend.

The project, which is Bey's fastest-selling album ever, also set the record for fastest-selling album on iTunes. It sold over an astounding 80,000 copies in its first three hours on iTunes.

"Beyonce" easily bested Bey's next fastest-selling album, "B'day," which shifted 541,000 units in the first week.

The project features 14 songs and 17 accompanying videos. It goes for $15.99 on iTunes, and songs will be available for individual purchase starting December 20.
