Radio and television host Charlamagne tha God's MTV show "Charlamagne & Friends" has been renewed for a second season on MTV2. The new season will debut Sunday, Jan. 15 at 11:30 p.m. PST/EST, and will feature artists, athletes, and comedians talking about current events in music and pop culture.

Charlamagne issued a statement after the network announced the renewal of his show, along with Lil Duval's "Ain't That America With Lil Duval."

"Is this real life? Duval and I went from doing online webisodes to having our own shows back to back on MTV2. God and the Whiteman really have a plan for us. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and as always, I hope I don't make MTV2 regret it!"

Lil Duval followed up with his own statement, "Even though we set ratings records with season one, we were just scratching the surface of our serious and detailed study of America's funniest quirks. You can expect even more in-depth, ethnological analysis in season two. In other words, this s--- is off the motherf---ing chain."
