Jay Z's holiday collection launch party to raise money for The Shawn Carter Foundation has been cancelled, according to reports coming from Women's Wear Daily. The fundraiser was scheduled to occur Wednesday, November 20th, at Barneys New York, but due to all of the backlash stemming from allegations of the store racially profiling their customers, they've decided the best course of action would be to cancel until further notice. Barneys has yet to release an official statement regarding the cancellation.
If the fundraiser had happened as planned, all of the proceeds would have gone to The Shawn Carter Foundation.
