Shortly after the NBA informed Derrick Rose he could no longer wear kinesio tape on his neck, the league reversed their course of action and will allow players to wear it on an experimental basis.

According to the USA Today, the NBA previously banned players from wearing the tape, which can have therapeutic effects on the injuries and soreness.

"Keeping my neck stable," he said. "When you have a crick in your neck it's kind of hard to turn side to side so it's kind of keeping my neck in line and making sure my vertebraes are safe."

Rose, using the kinseio tape to recover, understood the likelihood of of the NBA forbidding him from wearing the tape.

"As long as the league allows me to," Rose said when asked how long he would keep wearing it. "If I have a breakthrough game I might wear it the whole year."
