Rapper M.I.A. used an unconventional opening act for her show at Terminal 5 in NYC recently, skyping in wanted Wiki Leaks founder Julian Assange to speak to the crowd. M.I.A. and Assange have definitely been acquainted before, as he promoted her "Vicki Leekx" mixtape last year, and she helped write music for his show "The World Tomorrow."
M.I.A. is dropping her new album "Matangi" this Tuesday.
