JR Smith's brother Chris Smith made the 15-man roster for the Knicks team. Today, October 25th, it was announced by Knicks President and General Manager Steve Mills that five players have been waived from the team - forwards Ike Diogu, C.J. Leslie, Josh Powell and Jeremy Tyler and guard Chris Douglas-Roberts. Meanwhile, JR's brother Chris Smith, along with Cole Aldrich and Toure Murry, have maintained spots on the Knicks roster.
While this is great news for Chris, many Knicks fans are outraged by the Knicks' decision to keep JR's brother, because they simply feel as though he doesn't have the skills to bring the team greater success. Twitter has been buzzing with many users dropping heavy slander on the Knicks for their decision to keep Chris Smith, and many feel it is simply because of his ties to JR that he remains on the team.
