2013 has been a booming year for the art of twerk. Even though the popular dance has basically been around since "bumping-and-grinding" became a widely practiced dance trend within the hip-hop culture many years ago, twerking has taken on a whole new level of widely accepted fame in 2013.
Love her or hate her, the fact remains that much thanks has to go to Miley Cyrus for bringing a vast new level of modern popularity to the dance, since many people began frequently using the term after witnessing her YouTube video in which she popped her cakes to J. Dash's "WOP" track. Following that, she was seen twerking on stage at a Juicy J. concert, which sparked a huge wave of twerking videos to pop-up all over social media networks. Twerking became such a widespread trend that celebrities began posting their own twerking videos, and a Guinness World Record was set in Manhattan at 34th street and Broadway for "The Most People Twerking Simultaneously" on September 26th, 2013, when over 200 participants twerked at once.
However, despite all of the praise given to Miley, the true art of twerking has existed long before she popularized it as an art form. Some women have managed to master the craft so well that they actually have listed themselves as "professional twerkers" as their profession.
A couple of those women are none other than the gorgeous Lady Luscious and Mizz Twerksum. They have proclaimed themselves the "Queens of Twerk" and go by the official name "TwerkTeam," and their many popular booty-popping videos prove that they are more than worthy of the title.
They've been around for years and posted up numerous twerk videos on YouTube dating back to 2010. They both have mastered the craft of twerking and have over 100 highly juicy, booty jiggling, and jaw dropping twerking videos that have earned them a very large fan following over time for their skilled hip and buns movements.
Both women are extremely fit as they also work as personal trainers to maintain their tip-top physique in order to perform their many complex twerking motions to keep fans satisfied. Even though she is not officially listed as a part of their duo TwerkTeam on Twitter or Instagram, Betty Butt prides herself as being an "OG Twerker" and was featured shaking her cakes with tremendous skill in many of their past videos above.
