During a recent interview with Paper magazine, Iggy Azalea spoke on coming up in the music industry and how she decided on her stage name, Iggy.  She explained that Iggy was her dog when she was younger whom she was extremely close to.

"When I was a kid, Iggy was my dog.  Iggy was the runt of the litter, but he always survived. I really loved that dog. He was tough, cool, determined, fighter. He had all the characteristics I admire in people. When he got put down, I got a nameplate necklace with his name. People started calling me that, too."

She went on to explain that she was noticed by some members of Beyonce's team during a twerk-off at her Bowert show, and spoke on how she believes this may have inspired Miley Cyrus to try shaking her own cakes in front of the camera.

"She probably f*cking watched my videos online and decided to try it."

Iggy then discussed how it angers her that the public often confuses her as being a "model-turned-rapper".    "It pisses me off that my iTunes biography says I'm a model-turned-rapper. I was never a model before. Why do people have it in their stupid f*cking fantasies that I was a model?"

Do you think Iggy Azalea inspired Miley Cyrus to start twerking?
