Kelis previously owed a whopping $741,027.59 in taxes to the State of New York. However, she managed to pay off a huge chunk of that by recently handing over $400,000 to Uncle Sam. She still owes over $300K, but the amount she paid off thus far will help her overcome her tax woes greatly. Hopefully Kelis will be able to pay off the rest of her debts in a timely fashion.
