Today is cut day in the NFL, as teams must cut their preseason rosters down to 53 by 6 pm. The New England Patriots are apparently not interested in Tim Tebow, and cut him to the surprise of many. Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, had taken quite a liking to Tebow, leaving most believing the quarterback would get at least some kind of shot to play during the year.

Despite Tebow's 6-of-11 throwing night against the Giants for 91 yards and two touchdowns, the Pats chose to keep injured TE Rob Gronkowski on the roster instead.
