Jimmy Kimmel hosted "Kobe Up Close" on Thursday night, and invited a few others to share in the fun. Former teammate Robert Horry came by, and actually spoke before Bryant.

"Bryant has all kinds of accolades, all kinds of praise going, but he's still working hard every day," said Horry. "It makes you want to work hard. That's what guys realize when they come to the Lakers organization."

Horry praised Bryant and his work ethic, but also shared a story about a confrontation the two had during one game early on. Kobe apparently kept calling for the ball, but Horry opted to keep everyone in the triangle offense. Bryant confronted him during a timeout and told him, "I'm hot." He wanted to know why Horry was ignoring his calls for the ball.

"How many championships you got?" Horry asked a young Kobe Bryant. "I've got two. I've got this."

Horry labeled it as a bonding moment. Both players would go on to win several more championships, three with each other.
