Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper has been so affected by his now infamous n-word rant, that he's taken leave from the team to attend counseling.
A rep for the Eagles made a statement saying, "Riley Cooper will be seeking counseling and we have excused him from all team activities."
Th rep added that at counseling, Cooper will learn how hurtful racist threats can be. Cooper knows that his actions not only change the public's image of him, but also that of his team's.
"The organization and my teammates have been extremely supportive, but I also realize that there are people who will have a tough time forgiving me for what I've done," said Cooper. "The best thing for me, and for the team, is to step away for a period of time."
