A former employee of a Family Dollar discount store in Dearborn, Michigan named Lavere Bryant has been accused of murdering two co-workers. The 34-year-old suspect appeared in court on Wednesday, July 24th, for his arraignment. He's facing two charges of first-degree murder along with two counts of felony murder and armed robbery, and unlawful imprisonment, among other charges stemming from felony possession of a firearm.
Prior to leaving the courtroom, Lavere uttered the words, "I did not murder."
The victims in the case, Joseph Orlando and Brenna Machus, both 20 years old, were killed last week.
