On July 16th, the MLB All-Star Baseball game which took place at Citi Field, was supposed to be a night of good spirits and pure baseball fun.  However, a dark shadow was cast over this memorable night in baseball history, and that cloud was harsh with blind racism.

Puerto Rican singing sensation Marc Anthony sang a very passionate version of "God Bless America" to kick-off the game, and his presence in front of the microphone was for some reason bombarded with non-stop cold and cruel rasict tweets.

Twitter users were calling him a "spic" and "Spanish f*ck" among other foul names.  In the wake of the George Zimmerman not guilty verdict in his trial for shooting and killing Trayvon Martin, and all of the racially charged emotions that have followed that case, this really was an insensitive time for anyone to bash a talented artist's performance by overshadowing it with hatred aimed at their ancestry.

Check out the grimy tweets above.
