Back in 2009, South-Western Ohio schools garnered national attention when they were forced to eliminate sports because of budget issues. While the sports were later resurrected, it costs a hefty penny.

Director Tyler Perry heard about the issues and decided to help Finland Middle School on Friday, donating $100,000 to help out their student athletes. Perry was drawn to that school specifically after he heard about teacher Mary Mulvany starting a foundation to raise money to pay the fee for sports.

Salute, Tyler Perry.
