Floyd Myers, brother of the late rapper Heavy D, is looking to assert control over his brother's estate by imposing a will that would prospectively leave nothing for D's 13-year-old daughter, his parents, or his other siblings.
Myers, who served as Heavy D's business manager for a period of time, filed legal docs last week, claiming Heavy wrote the will back in 1999, and gave him a copy of it. Floyd wants the courts to grant him all legal entitlement to D's estate, despite the will being signed before his daughter was even born.
Apparently, Floyd's lawyer is claiming that Heavy D's family is cool with this set up, because his filed documents are only a formality. Floyd is simply trying to clear the title on a condo him and D owned so that he can actually sell it.
TMZ tried to reach other family members but had no luck.
