M.I.A Tweets On Custody Battle: "Every Child Needs the Mother"

Artist M.I.A is currently locked in a heated custody battle with her son's father, Benjamin Bronfman.  While they never married, M.I.A and Bronfman are fighting for custody of their son Ikhyd, who was born in February 2009.  She's fighting to prevent his family from obtaining full custody of their son, and she took to Twitter to vent her frustrations regarding the legal battle.  She claims that neither Ben nor his Bronfman family ever see Ikhyd to begin with, so it makes no sense for them to even try to seek full custody.

M.I.A. even dug deep back to her own experience of growing up without her father and stated passionately, "Every child needs the MOTHER, I GREW UP WITHOUT A DAD. If [I] grew up without my mother i wouldn't be here."
