One of Ne-Yo's former girls, Jesseca White, is suing him for defamation, claiming that Ne-Yo described her on VH1 as "an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child...so that she could fraudulently bilk him of 'ungodly amounts of money.'"
White had a child in 2005, and initially thought Ne-Yo was the father. After taking a paternity test, it was proven that he wasn't. Jesseca claims she told Ne-Yo that he might be the father, but that Ne-Yo then went on VH1 and made the situation more than it was. As a result of that interview with VH1, Jesseca has apparently been the recipient of hurtful names including "b***h", "pathetic", and "gold-digging b***h."
White also says her career in photography and graphic design has been affected because of it. She's suing for unspecified damages.
