During Oscar host Seth Macfarlane's opening monologue at the Awards ceremony on Sunday night, he couldn't resist getting in a jab at Chris Brown and Rihanna over their rekindled romance.

"Django Unchained, now that was an intense film," started MacFarlane. "This is the story of a man fighting to get back his woman, who has been subjected to unthinkable violence ... or as Chris Borwn and Rihanna call it -- a date movie."

The crowd responded with predictable groans. The 'Family Guy' creator then took a shot at Mel Gibson over the highly controversial racist remarks he's made in the past.

"A lot of controversy over the multiple uses of the N-word in the film. I'm told the screenplay is loosely based on Mel Gibson's voicemails." The audience reacted to that one in about the same manner, with whispers and a somewhat awkward silence.

Do you think awards ceremony hosts will ever stop making Chris Brown the butt of their jokes, or is he fair game for all eternity?
