Could we be seeing the NFL's first female player next season? It's a possibility.

New Jersey Kicker Lauren Silberman will be the first woman to participate in the NFL combines, and she reportedly deserves the chance.

Silberman can kick 45-50 yard field goals on a consistent basis, which is essentially what you need to be an NFL kicker. It seems like a longshot, but Silberman is just happy to be able to participate in a historical try out.

"I was actually hoping that the 2012 historical milestone rule, to allow women to play, would prompt more women to attend tryouts this year," said Silberman. "But for me, what's important is to finally have a chance to fulfill my dreams by trying out to play in the world's most competitive football league".
