Akon Sued By Company Involving His Failed Social Media Venture

A while back, Akon enlisted a company to help him create a social media website, which would help to better connect fans to their favorite celebrities. "Fantrace" was intended to be a "Facebook-type" forum, but after alleged poor execution, it's become a major flop.
Atlanta Business Video filed a lawsuit against Akon, alleging that it cut video for "Fantrace back in 2011, but was never paid for their labor. They allegedly put in 1,023 hours of work, worth about $127,875, and they want their money now.
Akon was no available for comment.
