You may remember the 90s Keanu Reeves movie "Speed". Well, it basically happened in real life this week, as a French driver found himself in the especially precarious situation of being stuck going 125 mph without breaks.
The man, Frank Lecerf, was taking a trip to the supermarket in his specially handicapped-enabled Renault Laguna when his brakes alarmingly accelerated the car instead of stopping it. Lecerf zipped along the highway and managed to call authorities. Police formed around his car and escorted him until he ran out of gas.
"My life flashed before me," said Lecerf to Le Courrier picard. "I just wanted it to stop."
Lecerf's lawyer said they plan on filing a lawsuit against the company Renault.
