Kanye is gearing up to work on his next album, which longtime collaborator and friend Malik Yusef commented on during an interview with Hitflix.

"He is a perfectionist, obviously. It's harsh. [West] says no to a hundred things. I can't talk too much about it. Just remember black music, the black experience. It's a throwback to that era, a distillation of what's happening in the modern world."

Yusef also admits that Kanye will not be doing as much singing as "808's & Heartbreaks," adding "I don't know if we'd ever revisit that amount of singing."
