Master P: Tupac Wanted To Join No Limit

Before No Limit records blew up into one of the most successful labels of the 1990's, CEO Master P revealed that he was thinking about signing Tupac.

P told Hip Hop DX, "To be honest wit'chu, at one time, I was thinking about signing Tupac. "[Tupac] was liking the movement of what we was doing. but we wasn't fully there yet. ... That was one little piece that I was looking at like, 'You know what? This could be alright.'"

When asked if Tupac was personally interested in the label, P replied "Everybody was interested in No Limit. I don't think there was one person in the music business that wasn't interested in being a part of that movement."

Was PAC alive NO LIMIT was a lil blimp on the hip hop radar so there's noway PAC would be moon walkin 2 a no name label @ the time when he was tryna getout his deal DEATHROW & start his own label DO UR RESEARCH so it wouldn't make sense or cents 2 sign wit sum niggaz who couldn't get it poppin in NEW ORLEANS so P had to goto THE BAY thats where NO LIMIT started poppin off 1st & thats after PAC died & if any of ya'll ever listenin 2 any MASTER P albums u would know that nigga was ridin PAC's nutts heavy bitin everythin PAC did or said but just didn't have that wave again DO UR RESEARCH this nigga was kinda obssess wit PAC but thats nuthin new a down south lame bitin a east coast nigga wave b4 u pop off & say PAC was from the west again DO UR RESEARCH he was born in NY raised in B-MORE until he was 17 lived in cali until he was 22 moved 2 the ATL & we all know y cuz everythin is cheap from the property 2 the drugs 2 the women so he's a east coast nigga R.I.P 2 the greatest 2 every do it MR. You do know 2Pac & Master P were good friends since '91 & by the time PAC died on 9/13/96 No Limit was already big, they received a huge distribution deal with Priority in '95 that gave them %100 ownership of their masters, Death Row didnt own %100 of their masters & I think PAC only owned %10-%15. NO RAPPER WAS GETTING OWNERSHIP OF THEIR MASTERS BACK THEN. And you might not remember but Master P had 2 platinum albums by himself in '96 "Ice Cream Man" & "Ghetto D", not to mention in late '96 early '97 they had platinum albums from TRU, Mystikal, Silk Da Shocker & a gold album from Mia X that had no promotion or radio play. Why do you think Snoop went to No Limit, because everything with a No Limit tank on it sold & the amazing deal they gave him. I'm from DC & No Limit was poppin in '95-'98, I know you're from NY & NY radio was playing the south at the time & we didn't have the Internet like today. But Master P & PAC had allot of songs together, most came out on the Makaveli sequels. Do you remember the PAC tribute song from Master P & Pimp C?

Nah homie that's not true, when Pac died he has less than 100k total in his checking & savings account. The mansion in Cali was rented & him & Suge was arguing over $. In '95-'96 Master P landed that huge distribution deal with Priority, Snoop signed a multi-million $ deal with No Limit in '97.

No P...he didn't. No Limit hadn't even blown up yet. He couldn't afford Pac yet. No Limit wouldn't even had blown up if Pac was still around. Especially not with Master P and C-Murder doing those vocal inflections like 2Pac. Every song : "Hennesseeeey, enemieeees." Etc. I don't even think they wouldve been brave enough to try that shit. Anyway P couldn't afford Pac yet.

See, thats why I stopped fuckin with P. He act like him and Pac was tight. Pac had alot going on, why sign to No Limit? Before 96, hardly anybody heard of No Limit. I read this interview with Napolean from the Outlawz a few years back and they asked him if P ever met Pac. He said yeah, one time and was way back in the day before they blew up. If yall know yall history, No Limit didnt get really poppin till 97, after Pac died. P obsessed wit that dude.

Niggas forgot that PAC wanted out of death row just like snoop and master p was the only nigga helping buy niggas out they contract to get on no limit. Niggas forgot he did that for snoop to get him out his deathrow contract and snoop was on no limit so there might be a little truth to this story
