2 Chainz Celebrates Gold Album With Def Jam Family

2 Chainz's debut "Based on a T.R.U. Story" has achieved a gold certification from the RIAA, and the Atlanta rapper celebrated the significant achievement with his Def Jam family at a dinner in NYC last night.

He was presented with a plaque from Def Jam president Joie Manda, and afterwards tweeted "Hardwork paying off," to mark the milestone.

2 Chainz is up for Best Rap Album at the Grammy's on February 10, and is currently working on his next album.

I hear you but the reality is none of the people you named are selling records.Lyrically they are better than 2Chainz but that doesn't mean shit to a record company.E40 ain't gon sell,Dub c might sell 100 copies from his gangbanging homies,Ghostface?Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they are trash,nobody's buying their records in this day and age.From a record label standpoint who are in the business of selling music none of those artists are marketable.
