Chris Brown Quits Social Media, Calls Himself An "Icon"

Following the negative publicity over his fight with Frank Ocean and subsequently comparing himself to Jesus, Chris Brown has turned his Instagram account to private.
This isn't the first time Breezy has tucked his tail after receiving public backlash -- he did the same thing last November after engaging in a Twitter war with comedian Jenny Johnson.
Brown left one final message for Team Breezy thanking them for their love and support.
"I would like to thank all my wonderful fans for letting me express my talents/art for you all."
"But social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I'm detaching myself from that world."
"Elevate yourself above the negative and if it doesn't work move on! I respect myself enough as well as my fans to wanna be great!"
As of now, his Twitter account is still active, so he hasn't completely detached himself from the world of social media.
