19-Foot-Long Cigar Sells For $185,000

An unidentified buyer has purchased a gigantic cigar for a whopping $185,000.
The Gran Habano #5 El Gigante measures 19 feet long by 3 feet wide, weighs 1,600 pounds, and is wrapped in 16,000 wrapper leaves. The super-sized stogie is equivalent to 25,000 regular cigars.
Juan Panesso, who operates CigarsDirect.com, says he thought the inquiry into purchasing the cigar was fake. Panesso says the cigar was created as a display piece at trade shows.
The cigar sold to a private collector who lives outside the United States. It comes with its own 900-pound wooden carrying case.
