Junior Seau's Family Sues The NFL Over Crippling Brain Injuries

The NFL had to have seen this coming. Junior Seau's family joins the other thousands of people currently suing the NFL for long-term brain damage caused by concussions during gameplay.

Seau's family cited the reason for the suit being that his suicide was directly caused by his time in the NFL. More specifically, they claim the NFL hid the dangers of repetitive blasts to the head, and ignored evidence showing that it was extremely harmful. After studying Seau's brain, it was found that he was suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

The NFL responded to the suit in a statement on Wednesday saying, "Our attorneys will review it and respond to the claims appropriately through the court."

Seau's family also released a statement explaining their legal move.

"We were saddened to learn that Junior, a loving father and teammate, suffered from CTE," said his family. "While Junior always expected to have aches and pains from his playing days, none of us ever fathomed that he would suffer a debilitating brain disease that would cause him to leave us too soon."

All I want to know is how can they prove that it did not happen to his brain in high school or college? its not like anyone made him play football or buy the gun or kill himself or not ask for help from the nfl or write a will, his family just found out that the money aint what they thought it was so now they go after the nfl lol

I'm sorry dat iz weak az fukk it is women out here living with HIV, stage 3 or 4 cancer still getting up everyday and living like despite their condition you supposed to be the epitome of tough and you kill urself over an illness or a white bish??? Wifey told me something one time that really made sense. She told me that alot of these "type A" personalities that everyone seems to look up to or to be "tough" are often weak people (Mentally) that is why they are often hooked on drugs and mentally unstable....they seem physically strong but in reality, they are scared to live life in a vulnerable state or with a debilitating condition.......real shit!
