A$AP Rocky Moves 141k Copies Of "Long.Live.A$AP" In First Week

Earlier sales predictions for A$AP Rocky's debut album "Long.Live.A$AP" were between 100k-110k in its first week. Though some saw this as reaching, Rocky has made them all eat their words. The Harlem rapper moved an impressive 141k copies of his debut, topping Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city", Taylor Swift's "Red", and "Kidz Bop 23".
This album and its success should solidify A$AP's superstar status. Hey, even LeBron James loved the title track.

350 million people in the u.s.a 7billion people on the planet a.s.a.p rocky has a "major machine" that pushed and promote him..he sold 141k the first week which usually means it has peeked..sorry but thats not impressive at all

Remember when rappers would sell records? I mean really sell- at least gold within a week or platinum within 2 months. Shit a one point HOV Fox Meth Red DMX and a gang all had plat records. even c list rappers had gold albums. Things done changed. I dont even think the latest NAS album went platinum yet. If kendrick came out in the 90's he'd be plat like that!

we can't keep blamin weak sales on downloads if adele and a few other artist can come out the gate goin gold and platinum the rappers can too..what is lost in the hip hop community is creativity and originality everybody is on some monkey see monkey do shit while put a very small twist to it and swear they different while they are really a different type of the same shit

Yea ! I remember those days . I use to be at the local record shop or Best Buy like every other week . But nowadays a artist is lucky to even to gold while artist 10 years ago use to go gold either the first or second week .
