Kobe Blames Shaq For His Lack Of MVP Awards

It's hard to imagine two of the greatest players in NBA history opposing playing together, but Kobe and Shaq have always had their distinct differences. In a recent interview with ESPN, Kobe was asked why he didn't have more MVPs. Kobe answered, "Because I played with Shaq. It's that simple. A lot of the time we cancelled each other out. I sacrificed a lot playing with him. I really did. I did it for the success of the team. If I never played with him, my numbers would have been ridiculous."
While Kobe is probably correct, wouldn't he rather have those three rings he won with Shaq than a few more MVPs?

Ok shaq left LA in 2004 Kobe had 9 years to get more MVP rings. Don't blame it on shaq!!

Kobe has had more than enough chances to win MVP awards..Kobe came in 96..shaq came in 99 shaw left in 04...shaq was dominant..its been now 9yrs for him to win a MVP...he just isn't...this season he is the ultimate ball hog..when he scores over 30 they lose...its a fact.. his numbers are good but when you take PED's in basketball shit gets better quick..

Niga you dont get MVP's because you dont pass the fucking ball lol this dude kobe played for 17 seasons and has 5000 assits lebron played 91/2 or 10 and got 5 racks the other day any other star player in the league had the Lakers team they have now they would have the best record in the league Kobe is just a scorer a volume shooter at that...

Theres nothing to belly ache about MJ is chicago's all time assit leader as-well he passed when he was supposed too Kobe passes when he's stuck thats low basketball IQ or delusion to the point that its a detriment to your team! Like I said put Young Mike or any other talented scorer on this current LA roster they would be a better team. Your job as a 2 gaurd isnt to shoot in volume who's your coach? its to gaurd the ball yes you have more scoring freedom than a point gaurd but it just shows how bad of a player you are when your being triple teamed and still shoot fadeaway 3's! Kobe probably has the lowest field goal percentage of any major scorer in basketball history as a matter of fact he's been in the league 17 yrs and this is probably his most efficient shooting percentage for a season that means you just jack up shots!
