Did The Leak Hurt "Before I Self Destruct"

That answer seems to be an astounding yes.

Despite solid reviews of 50 Cent's latest release, "Before I Self Destruct", the album opened up to lackluster sales that prevented 50 from taking the top spot on the Billboard charts.

That top spot instead went to John Mayer.

With approx. 160k sold, some might say that the massive leak of the album could, and, or did have an increased impact on the "official" release of the LP. Some may even say the reason the album underperformed was because Interscope pushed the release date up a week.

And if that's the case 50's sales should increase next week, but I don't see that happening.
