Nas On Tarantino Movies: "He's One of the Greatest Filmmakers"

Despite Tarantino being bashed by Spike Lee in a video interview and on Twitter, Nas has come forth to side with Tarantino on the subject of his newest film, Django, and the racist content within it. Nas in the past initially tried to release his 2008 album, Untitled, with the title of the N-word. He understands what it's like to be an artist and have a specific vision and desire to express that vision to the fullest, so he isn't sure why Spike or anyone else hating would be so shocked that Tarantino put so much raw content in the film that revolves around racism.
"I didn't see what the big fuss was about. It's a movie, movies by [Tarantino], why should we be surprised if the movie is raw? ... He's one of the greatest filmmakers of our generation, and we don't go there to see anything less than rawness. He's an artist, and artists have to express themselves."

all this chicken head who talk on this guy deserved to be fucked by a living snack(cobra),the man who give samuel.l.jackson the best character of his life(pulp ficion)who put out the women who play jacky brown of the closet,and make the young génération of 80' became crazy when his movie goes on theater!all of don't haters didn't have his talent,i'm black and i just saw django this afternoon,I LOVED IT!

NIGGEER Please. All those movies were good, but how will it uplift the Black Race. Most of the people giving it good reviews where NOT of African descent(bet yall ignorant mofos dont even know what that word means). Sometimes I feel like people are really blind, like literally, the blind shall lead the blind. A movie is exactly that, a movie based of fiction, a documentary like ROOTS is a classic.White people hated that movie, because the depection was so accurate. I encourage Spike Leee to put it on paper, and make a movie about the Jews,Hispanics,Chinese immigrants on Easter Island. Put a circus in the movie, call them spiks,wewtbacks, and chinks, make a complete mockery of their history and see how MANY PEOPLE WILL BE LAUGHING THEN.

Actually plenty of reviews written blacks have given this movie a pass, 4 out of 5 review or high accolade. You know nothing about Hollywood cinema if you think Django was the worst movie ever for using the N word, you have not seen many movies depicting slavery, holocaust or any movie of important historical accuracy. I've seen movies were they called Jews names for days, disrespected Mexicans endlessly, made fun of Germans and every other European culture. My man, one last thing Django actually means folk tale hero or protagonist in a story, it's the truth! Most people think the word comes African culture or slavery, simply out of idiocracy thinking the way it's spelled.

Quentin rocks! Movie shows a freed slave going to get his wife back. Don't think for one minute there weren't slaves that didn't give their masters after regaining their strength from the slave ship! Also, there was a Jewish Resistance during WWII.

can't lie..really dig nas music. but we are livin in a age that everything real is buried..and everybody is teeth and palms and very very few are willing to take it to people's heads..we are in a "go along to get along" world. nas just don't seem to have any fight in him anymore and that happens in some cats as they get older..now lets see tarantino make the same type of movie about jews,asians,latins ect..why is it that these producers are fasinated with what black folkz have been thru..is it to shed light on a ugly part of history(thats still goin on today just with greater disguise) or is it because there is some part of some plan to keep a down trotted people stuck in the same position?? all i know is in these times more then ever black president or not we need someone to emerge thats similiar to pac..but i guess props from cnn can have u losin ya mind for a minute..never in my life have i seen so many people(black) give so much props to the white dude and blast the black man who is defending them a the culture..this has truly become a bizarro backwards world by design..he makes ok films to i haven't seen anything that constitutes "greatness" in front of his name..as for me with nas comin out with slightly siding with this particular body of work from this movie dude is definitely goin to taint how i look at him especially if the subject matter is empowerment and black empowerment because it won't feel as sincere now..
