IMO: "WEHT Wednesday" What Ever Happened to R&B Singer Teedra Moses??"

Many may have absolutely no idea who Teedra Moses is and some may just have forgotten all about her. So, let me introduce Teedra to those who may not know her and reintroduce her to those who may don't remember.

Teedra Moses stepped onto the music scene back in 2004, after after breaking her leg on a video set. Prior to becoming a recording artist, Teedra worked with her best friend Nonja McKenzie as an assistant wardrobe stylist for artists such as Will Smith, Kelis, R. Kelly, and No Doubt.

But, after her injury she decided to follower her dreams of becoming an R&B singer. She signed with indie label TVT Records and released her debut album in July 2004, Complex Simplicity, which was executive produced by Moses herself and partner Poli Paul.

So, what ever happened to Teedra Moses? Well, the album "Complex Simplicity" underperformed on the U.S. chart, debuting and peaking at number one hundred and sixty-eight on the Billboard 200. "Complex Simplicity" didn't do that well on the charts but IMO, that album was tough. I guess it was the kind of album that just demanded an acquired taste; which isn't always a good thing in the music industry. In addition, to her album not doing so well, Teedra also had twin boys Ras and Taj; by rapper Ras Kass.

Nonetheless, Otherwise, Teedra's second studio album, The Young Lioness, is supposed to be due out this year. And, while the year is almost over there has been some wind of Teedra still performing. So, that is definitely a good thing. Take a trip down memory lane and check out Teedra Moses's video for "Be Your Girl."
