Andre 3000 wants to make one thing clear--the unofficial remixes of T.I.'s "Sorry" and Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" are not OutKast collaborations.

In July, when 3 Stacks was commissioned by Frank Ocean to collab on "Pink Matter," he actually stopped Big Boi from getting on the track. His reasoning was essentially that an OutKast reunion should not happen on someone else's album.

Now, with Big Boi getting on both of those songs alongside Andre, it's pretty deflating to know we aren't getting true OutKast music.

"It's important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to 'Pink Matter' and 'Sorry'," Andre told SPIN magazine. "I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean and Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi's name came up. I never want to mislead our audience. I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank, and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes."

Regardless of their intentions or sentiments, it's refreshing hearing Big Boi's voice alongside Andre's again.
