New Jersey police want to question Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt after the football player dropped off his friend, who was suffering from a stab wound, at the hospital around 3:30 am on Sunday and took off. Britt, 24, returned to the party where the stabbing occurred to retrieve his girlfriend. Apparently at this time, someone fired a gun.

Jersey City Police Capt. Edgar Martinez spoke about the incident, saying "Whether or not (Britt) was still there when the shot was fired, whether he had left the scene, we won't know until we speak to him."

He added, "We are in the process of trying to track him down. Right now, we have a lot of unanswered questions, so we are looking for him to come in and answer some questions for us. He has been uncooperative to this point."

Britt's spokesperson is telling a different story, saying he "has made himself available to cooperate."

The statement said, "Kenny was leaving a dinner cooked by his friends' parents when he found his friend, who had left earlier, injured outside. Kenny immediately brought his friend to the hospital and was there with the injured friend's family for several hours, but was not otherwise involved in the incident."
