Plaxico Burress Pays Off IRS Tax Lien To Tune Of $100k

Plaxico Burress must be extremely thankful that the Pittsburgh Steelers gave him another chance, because he's finally able to pay off the nearly $100,000 tax lien he owes Uncle Sam.
The tax lien was filed against Plaxico and his wife last year, claiming they failed to pay taxes in 2007 and 2009. All totaled, they owed $98,064.76.
Plaxico wasn't picked up by the Steelers until late in the season, and he started practicing with them the same day.
Things aren't all sunny in Plaxico's world, however. He still owes $159,000 from a car accident lawsuit and another $59,000 for alleged unpaid state taxes in New York.
