Pharrell Files $5 Million Lawsuit Over Bad Qream Liquor Deal

Pharrell Williams is suing Diageo North America for $5 million, claiming the company failed to produce and distribute his "Q Qream" liquor, a high-end drink geared toward women. AllHipHop.com exclusively obtained the filed suit, which claims that in July 2012 Diageo informed Pharrell that they would be shutting down the Q Qream business without warning after developing the product for two years.
"PW turned away other concrete opportunities to collaborate with other alcoholic beverage distributors on a partnership, in favor of proceeding with Diageo," read the lawsuit.
Pharrell was also disappointed in the sales of his beverage, which was marketed as a "club drink," not the "high-end, leisure class" beverage he envisioned it to be. The superstar entertainer was also disappointed in the design of the bottle, which produced faulty tops, leading to displeased consumers and bartenders.
