Castro Valley, CA police got the shock of their lives when they came upon a five-foot long alligator named "Mr. Teeth" guarding a man's stash of marijuana. Sheriffs found 34 pounds of dried and pressed marijuana in the home of 32-year-old Assif Mayar.

Sgt. J.D. Nelson revealed that Mayar bought "Mr. Teeth" in 1996 to commemorate Tupac's death, and used the gator to scare off would-be marijuana thieves.

After Mayar was arrested for drug possession and sales charges, the alligator was taken to the Oakland Zoo, where it was determined he was very sick. Zoo officials revealed on Friday morning that the alligator had died.
