Sadly, another school shooting has occurred in the United States. This time, Taft Union High School in Kern County, California, was the location where gunfire rang out through the hallways.  There haven't been too many details released regarding the specific events that took place as of yet, but it has been confirmed that two people were injured as a result of the shots fired.  One of the victims was airlifted to a nearby hospital, while the other refused any treatment.

After the shots went off and sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, they searched room-by-room to make sure all of the students were safe and no other assailants were hiding.  Apparently, some people (students or staff) hid in closets after the gunshots popped, and called for police assistance from the safer hiding spot.  The many frantic parents were advised to pick their children up from the school football field asap.

The shooter was apprehended by Kern County police.
