While the incident happened about a month ago, no news has yet come about regarding this unfortunate story until now. According to the NY Post, 42-year-old Naomi Campbell was attacked and robbed by multiple "goons" while attempting to hail a cab in the streets of Paris. She was allegedly knocked over and the fall caused her to suffer a torn ligament in her leg which left her wheelchair bound for an unknown amount of time.
The Daily Mail released numerous photos of her riding around in a motorized wheelchair and using crutches after the attack. You can clearly see she was wearing a brace on her leg as well. Her boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, has since upped her security to ensure that this never happens again, and also took her to Colorado to undergo more intensive treatment to help her get better.
According to an unnamed source who works for the limo company that almost always drives Campbell around, it is highly unusual to see her taking a cab, so according to the source, the story is very odd and possibly doesn't fully add up.
"The thought of Naomi Campbell hailing a taxi in the street is laughable, let alone the idea that a gang would attack her. It all sounds absolutely bizarre."
When the Post reached out to Campbell for a comment on the incident she brushed them off respectfully by saying, "I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine."
According to a French police source, there is no actual record of the attack occurring, so Naomi must've really not wanted this news to reach the public eye. Hopefully she'll recover swiftly.
