Lil Flip Arrested For Possession Of Assault Rifle

Rapper Lil Flip has found himself behind bars after being recently arrested for being in possession of an assault rifle, as well as marijuana. Police in Mansfield, Louisiana pulled over the 2010 Dodge Challenger Lil Flip was driving because the vehicle was traveling 86 mph in a 75 mph zone. A search of the vehicle turned up a Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle as well as an unspecified amount of marijuana.

The Advertiser reports that the Houston rapper was charged with a number of offenses. His charges include possession of a firearm near a controlled dangerous substance, in addition to speeding, which is the least of his worries.

The 31-year-old rapper is currently being detained at the DeSoto Detention Center in Mansfield, Louisiana on $35,000 bond. Reports also say that the passenger in the vehicle, Olanza Sanders, was released after posting bond in the amount of $25,000.

Flip has Medical marijuana card which doesn't apply in Louisiana and he has a concealed carry License. If he didn't have the weed he would have been ticketed for speeding and the police would have checked the serial number to make sure the gun wasn't stolen and he would have been on his way.
