Earlier this month, rap newcomer Chief Keef was scheduled to make a court appearance on charges of violating the terms of his probation. However, his court date has now been pushed back to late January, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Months ago, a video surfaced showing Chief Keef in possession of a firearm which landed him in hot water as it is a violation of his probation. December 12th was the initial court date, but reports say prosecutors required more findings to accurately try this case in court, so a new court date has now been set for January 28th.

Keef is coming off the recent release of his debut album "Finally Rich" and he now has some time to enjoy the success of his young rap career. But it remains to be seen what type of punishment will be handed to the 17-year-old Chicago rapper for his violation.
