Q-Tip Blasts Def Jam on Twitter Over Signing Trinidad James?

On Thursday it was officially announced that Def Jam had signed "All Gold Everything" rapper Trinidad James for a reported $2 million, which seems to have upset hardcore hip-hop fans, including Q-Tip. The famed rapper expressed his frustration on Twitter without naming anyone specific.
"Yo @DefJamRecords brass! remember your BRAND! And what @unclerush n co put out. Please! Don't be short sighted."
Without saying any names it was only possible that he could be talking about one person- Trinidad James.

I can understand where Tip was coming from and I can't hate that man for that. I grew up off Q Tip and that era of hip hop it had more depth. The mess I hear today is not Hip Hop...Def Jam is forced to move with the trend, with whats hot which means they're only worried about $$$....if it's that much of a problem, people like Tips and other artist who have money need to come together and put together a powerful record label that promotes underground hip hip as well as mainstream hip hop that encorporates all of the elements of hip hop but focuses a lot on the message, artistry, fashion and more so positveness...can someone please bring back Rawkus Records sheesh or create something like it or better smh
