George Zimmerman would really like to shed the GPS device currently attached to him, but a Florida judge denied his request on Tuesday without an explanation. The judge also demanded that Zimmerman stay in Seminole County, where he currently lives.

Zimmerman's team argued that their client has obliged by all requirements and followed his probation guidelines, deeming him safe without the GPS. The lead prosecutor Bernie De La Rionda fired back, "Isn't the defendant safer if law enforcement knows exactly where he is?"

Zimmerman's side expressed their impatience with the slow pace of proceedings, as trial isn't set to begin until June of next year. Since being release on $1 million bond, Zimmerman has gone into hiding and wears a bulletproof vest wherever he goes.
