One of three men who allegedly broke into a Florida home in 2010 was sentenced to more than eight years in prison on Friday. The men allegedly consumed and snorted both human and dog ashes while inside the house, after thinking the urns contained crushed up pills. The men also jacked $1,500 worth of jewelry, a laptop, and a 42-inch television.
The homeowner came back to find her father's ashes, and the ashes of her two Great Danes gone. The man sentenced, Jose David Diaz-Marrero, pleaded guilty back in June to four counts of burglary. He apologized in court on Friday.
