And in very disturbing news, a Boston area man was arrested recently and charged with over 100 counts of child sex abuse. The man allegedly videotaped himself abusing his victims, which were as young as 8 days old.
John Burbine, the man who has been charged, gained access to all the children through his wife's daycare service, Waterfall Education Center.
Middlesex District Attorney Gerald T. Leone Jr. said this case is "among the most troubling and disturbing cases of child abuse ever prosecuted in Middlesex County."
Victims came from as many as seven different towns, and ranged from 8 days old to 3 and a half years old. The actual charges he caught are aggravated forcible rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child, posing a child in a state of nudity, posing a child in sexual conduct, possession of child pornography, dissemination of material harmful to a minor, and operating an unlicensed child care program.
If found guilty, Burbine will likely never see the light of day.
