Though the 55th annual Grammy Awards show will take place in the new year, the names of artists who are up for awards was announced most recently. Young Money's Drake and Lil Wayne have received nominations, but superstar female rapper and fellow YMCMB artist Nicki Minaj has not had her name added to the list despite being nominated for "Best New Artist," "Best Rap Album," and "Best Rap Performance" last year.
Lil Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, was upset at Nicki's Grammy snub and took to Twitter to share his opinion on the matter. While he did congratulate Drake and Wayne as well as producer Hit Boy, he was irked over the fact that Nicki was left out.
"Congrats to @LilTunechi and @Drake and @Hit_Boy on their Grammy Noms butttt......," he tweeted. "They was on some bullsh*t for not nominating @NICKIMINAJ," he concluded.
