Big Sean Announces Foundation In Detroit

Big Sean has always been loyal to his hometown of Detroit and he continued to show it by launching his Sean Anderson Foundation there recently. The goal and focus of the foundation is to try and improve the lives of the younger generation in Detroit. At a recent show in his hometown to announce the launch of his new endeavor, the G.O.O.D. Music artist put on a concert with Kanye West, Common, and J. Cole.

"The mission of the Sean Anderson Foundation is to assist in the education, health, safety and well-being of Detroit area school-aged youth," Big Sean said. "I want to use my awareness to improve the situations in our school systems in particular. Many schools in Detroit have been closing or are in danger of closing. My school played an integral part of making me the man I am today and without that education and extra care, I don't know where I would be today. So, I just want to help support the well being of young people in anyway that I can."

Great gesture on behalf of Big Sean.

No doubt my hat goes off to Big Sean and any other artist that gives back to their community like this. Its a good look for everyone involved so everyone wins big. I see positive posts dont get to many comments...most people just gravitate to the negative, ratchet comments and talk a lot of ish. Props to Big Sean tho real talk

Much respect to Sean. Once I am fully established as a Hip-Hop artist, I too plan on creating my own foundation for my hometown of Detroit.
