His album has only been available for purchase for 5 weeks now, and it has sold a total of 428,000 copies so far, but when you include the number of alums shipped as well, he has past the Certified Gold selling mark. Congratulations Kendrick.

I love kendrick Lamars music.... But the funny thing about it is nobody besides me knows about this nigga, I have most of his music. Nobody bumps kendrick lamar, 2 of his songs are on the radio and out of a 5 day period, his songs will be played 3 times. Its kinda fishy he is getting the sales that he is with no type of promo or seeable fanbase. I loved this guy for a min, so I should know if he would sell, and the numbers he is making is unbelievable. I guess he is another pawn of the industry to try to make into a gimm7ck and popular. He will be Pop music in a year, trust me it has happened to all my favorite underground artist in the last 5 years. What a shame.

Gold is What platinum used to be. Hip hop records are not selling because we (the consumers) are so accustomed to getting things for free. Good music should be paid for, garbage like Meek Mill's album should stay on the shelf. BTW, Meeks album has sold below 300,000 units :(
